Dallas, TX — May 18, 2005 — Green Mountain Energy Company and the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas have joined forces this year for the 14th annual Parade of HomesTM. All the model homes will be powered with 100% Wind electricity from Green Mountain Energy Company. This is the first year Green Mountain Energy Company will be the title partner of the event.

This year's Parade will showcase custom homes priced from $895,000+, with each home featuring state-of-the-art amenities and luxurious décor. The Parade of Homes will take place May 21 through June 12, 2005 at Kings Lake Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney, Texas. For more information, visit www.dallasbuilders.com.

"The Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas is very excited to have Green Mountain as its title partner for this year's Parade," said Bob Morris, executive vice president of HBA Dallas. "As there is a growing demand and interest from homebuyers about green building and other environmentally friendly products, Green Mountain's clean electricity products for residential customers in Texas are a great complement to the Parade of Homes."

The 100% Wind Green Mountain Energy® electricity product being purchased for the seven model homes is dramatically cleaner than typical system power in Texas. It is anticipated that the homes will use about 3.5 megawatt-hours of power during the Parade of Homes and, because the Parade of Homes is purchasing 100% Wind electricity from Green Mountain Energy, the release of nearly 3,000 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2) pollution will have been prevented — equivalent to not driving more than 3,200 miles.

"We're proud to be the title partner of this year's Parade of Homes," said Heidi Schrab, general manager of the Texas Region for Green Mountain Energy Company. "This is a unique opportunity for us to partner with a great organization like the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas while at the same time educate homebuyers about the value of purchasing clean electricity at a very affordable price."

In addition to the 100% Wind product, Green Mountain Energy Company also offers homeowners its Pollution Free sm electricity product, which is priced at the same rate as TXU Energy's Price to Beat.

This year's Parade will feature homes from Penhollow Custom Homes, Reynolds Signature Homes LLC, ACACIA Custom Homes LLC, J.D. Smith Custom Homes, Fields Custom Homes, Martineck-Johnson Custom Homes Company and George C. Fuller Custom Homes. The Parade highlights the very finest in innovative home building and custom craftsmanship.

Green Mountain Energy Company representatives will also be on site to discuss the benefits of cleaner electricity and how to sign up for clean, affordable 100 percent Pollution Free electricity.
