Location: McAllen, TX

Position Summary: Green Mountain Energy Company is seeking a Market Manager with outstanding sales leadership and management skills.  This position will be responsible for managing our sales, and recruiting efforts for our residential sales program in South Texas and will ensure that sales targets are met on a monthly and annual basis.

This position will manage a full time staff including a recruiter, team lead, events coordinator and sales agents.  This position will report to the Vice President of Sales.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assure sales targets are met in AEP territories in South Texas
• Manage to sales acquisition cost targets
• Assure the quality of sales
• Recruit sales agents for store fronts and events sales efforts
• Assure that sales agent productivity goals are met
• Spend the neccesary time in the field leading, motivating, teaching, and selling along side of sales agents
• Seek out and secure productive selling opportunities for retail and events sales agents
• Prepare and submit payroll for sales agents
• Prepare weekly agent schedules to optimize selling opportunities in storefronts and events
• Provide competitive and other field related feedback
• Work with stake holders across departments including HR, accounting, marketing, & public relations to support sales efforts
• Generate weekly and monthly sales reports

Required Skills and Experience:

• A sincere desire to help protect the environment is a plus
• Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
• 5 years experience leading sales teams to successful outcomes desirable
• Must have strong documentation, communication and follow-up skills
• Knowledge of energy/deregulation strongly preferred
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends
• Must have reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel throughout a widespread geographic territory
• College degree preferred
