Briefly Green Mountain Energy Offering Affinity Program in Announcing Official Duquesne Light Launch
Green Mountain Energy Company officially announced the launch of residential electric service at Duquesne Light in Pennsylvania, and is offering an affinity program under which it is donating one tree to the Plant One Million program for each new residential customer that makes the switch to renewable energy. Green Mountain began offering residential service at Duquesne Light earlier this year, and its market entry was first reported by Matters in January.

SourceOne to Provide Energy Management Services to SouthCoast Electric Power Group
SourceOne, a subsidiary of Veolia Energy North America, has been selected to perform energy advisory and procurement services for SouthCoast Electric Power Group (SCEPG), an aggregation comprised of the Cities of New Bedford, Fall River and nearly 30 private companies in the area. The contract was awarded to SourceOne after a competitive public request for proposal for energy consultant services. The SCEPG is comprised of over 800 separate accounts with an aggregate annual electricity load of roughly 150,000,000 kWh, representing an estimated annual budget of approximately $10 million.
