Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Services
The USGBC Energy and Atmosphere Green Power Credit allows LEED buildings to earn 1 to 6 points for providing a percentage of the building’s electricity from renewable resources. Point allocations vary depending on which version of LEED guidelines the building is following, as well as project type.
Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are a straight forward and cost effective way to maximize Green Power Points under LEED, while significantly reducing a project’s environmental impact. Purchasers stay with their current electricity provider and do not have to install any specialized equipment.
