Green Mountain Energy Company customers' demand for clean, renewable energy supports the Green Mountain Energy^® Wind Farms–Langford and Elbow Creek.

These two West Texas wind farms are jointly capable of producing up to 270 megawatts (MW) – enough to power 220,000 homes. Each megawatt of wind power has the potential to prevent approximately 1500 tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere each year, which is like taking 230 cars off the road.




Green Mountain purchases 100% of the renewable generation from these wind farms in the form of renewable energy certificates to supply consumers and businesses with clean electricity products.
