Location: Austin, TX

Position Summary: The Business Development Manager, Environmental Solutions will be responsible for managing and growing the GMEC residential RECs and Carbon Offsets business in the US. The Business Development Manager will leverage extensive industry knowledge and contacts to develop a robust sales pipeline that will be converted into new accounts and profitable business.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop sales and business plan for residential RECs and Carbon Offsets
• Develop target account list and qualified sales pipeline and manage sales cycle to closure
• Achieve monthly sales and gross margin goals
• Respond to RFPs and other suitable projects
• Pursue new partners and business relationships to create new offerings and advance overall business
• Manage Green Mountain Driver, Traveler, and Home products
• Assist with management and content for RECs and Carbon Offsets web site
• Negotiate new agreements and renewal contracts
• Work with Accounting, Supply and other departments to develop quotes, initiate monthly invoices and track sales and gross margin  to plan
• Provide weekly activity and sales reporting

Required Skills and Experience:

• College degree in business, engineering or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years experience selling RECs and Carbon Offset or alternative energy solutions
• Minimum 5+ years B2B sales and account management experience with corporate clients
• Must be a results-oriented professional with a proven ability to handle a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven sales environment
• Advanced organizational, presentation, analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Excel, Power Point, and salesforce.com
• Ability to travel 50%
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• General knowledge of energy industry and sustainability programs
